Does summer interfere with your writing?

I'm finding this summer that the beach is calling my name and I adhere to it. Thus, my daily writing goals are suffering. I choose to set my goals high, 2,500 per day, but this summer I'm only achieving 1,000 words a day. How are your goals this summer going?

    Yes, completed the second novel in my series and submitted it for review to my publisher, who picked up the first book for publication in November. It will be released in September 2012. If I Fail, A Jake Carrington Mystery is its name.
