opened his mouth to apologize. Taking a step toward the bed, he stopped short,
changed his mind. What was her problem anyway? She was close enough to the
phone to have heard the conversation. He didn’t need two hundred questions first
thing in the morning. This was why he previously avoided relationships. They
were mind fields waiting to explode.
